How to Fish Islands & Creatures
From the crash site to the Mutated Bowhead Whale - every island, boss and creature you will face on the way home. Each boss opens the next area, so fight in order.
Starter Island
Where you crash. Learn to cast, catch, kill and sell. Buy the Knife and clear the first crabs.
Second Island
Five leeches spawn on the ground here. Collect them for the farmer NPC to continue. Missing spawns = not all places searched.
Spider Crab Island
Beat the Spider Crab boss. Return the boss trophy (not meat chunks) to the quest giver to open the next island.
Piranha Island
Piranha swarms everywhere. Dynamite clears the pack, cooked fish heals you. Upgrade the shotgun before arriving.
Pufferfish Island
The pufferfish charges fast and spits venom. Jump sideways when it lunges, shoot while it is slowed, and split aggro in co-op.
Albatross Island
Dynamite fish for food and fight the albatross from inside the hut to avoid its dive.
Final Island
The Mutated Bowhead Whale. Stand against the right-side house wall so its slam misses, then shoot straight up while it hovers overhead.
The Shop & Grill
Sell catches, buy weapons, and cook fish on the grill to heal between fights.
Key Island & Boss Sequence
Start Island → Second Island (5 leeches) → Spider Crab → Piranha Island → Pufferfish → Albatross → Final Island (Bowhead Whale). Quest givers want boss trophies, not meat chunks - keep boss drops until the hand-in is complete. Every creature also has a rare variant to collect.
