How to Set Up Your First Fishing Trip

  1. How to Fish has no redeem codes - it is a paid Steam game. What you actually need are the controls that drive fishing, combat and movement.
  2. Learn the core loop first: cast your line (LMB), land the catch, then fight the creature with your equipped weapon.
  3. Open your inventory with Tab to equip weapons, eat food for health, and review quest objectives.
  4. Jump (Space) to dodge. Most fish and bosses telegraph a lunge before attacking - timing the jump avoids the hit.
  5. Keep your weapon reloaded (R). Running out mid-fight against a pufferfish or whale ends badly.
